Oh Well I still have money >:3
You know what the solution here is? Don't drive a tank into a pack of infantry sporting AV grenades. They need a way to kill you and I think sticky grenades are fine, especially considering how many it takes. If you get close enough to an enemy for the grenades to actually work I hate to say it, but it's your own damned fault. Hit reverse.
'Sides, you have a massive long range cannon, why are you that close to start with? |

Cheering loudly? playing it, I dont buy things cause 1) Im poor, if CCP wants to pay me to test their things in the AUR spectrum through reiembursment than fine, other than that no. 2) I find AUR weapons to be cheap and If I just bought my way through the game than I wouldnt be playing it correctly and get the full experience.
1: They do give you the AUR back at the end of the beta. So you get the money back again technically. You're telling me you're not even willing to sink a penny into this but then expect CPP to balance on your demands? Man~
2: How is AUR cheap? You just get items one tier sooner or with a different look. They even have the fitting requirements from the equivalent weapon from the tier above. It's hardly breaking the game, nor are you "buying your way through" the game. You get a fancy gun\armour a few hours earlier. Is all. |

'Sides, you have a massive long range cannon, why are you that close to start with? Cause you need to support your team, maybe if I got warned that someone was throwing an AV grenade and the logo just didnt look like any old other grenade, than maybe I would back up and move but oh wait I cant cause im getting pounded with AV grenades that blow up with such a force that it impedes my movement, also im using a blaster, not a Railgun cannon, sorry but I dont run shield tanks, I run the armor tanks cause they need more support and feedback than shields, cause all I hear are people talking about shields and this that and the other thing related to shields and I test armor cause no one else does, I saw a shield tank today lose its shields, Booom was gone in three seconds, only had 989 hp under that armor. Once your shield is gone, your gone, run an armor tank and put some shield boosters on it but more armor and you will be golden.
If your team is asking you to risk a high power, high value asset like a HAV in a close-in fight I suggest you find a team that understands the economics of EVE Warfare that will no doubt bleed into Dust and better yet, one that knows tactics in general. Tanks are not a close in weapon, and if you use it like one it _WILL_ die. Tanks are about devastating firepower and protection, they are not battering rams. Keep yourself alive to kill other tanks, not to farm kills on infantry.
And good on your for testing something new, I wish more people would do that in the beta! However A good tanker always stays as far away from infantry as possible while still being able to bring his guns to bear, if he can't he supports the advance until his infantry can break through.
Ever play WW2 Online? Took a tank into a town in that game and it was dead in about 5 seconds. You just don't do it. |
